 1. DUKE UNIVERSTIY 

Duke is ranked 5th in the nation by college factual. Its student faculty ratio is just 7 to 1. The Ethnic diversity is high with 84% of its student coming from outside of the state. About 32% of the professors at Duke were named Highly Cited Researchers. The most poplar majors at Duke are:

  • Public Policy analysis
  • General Biology/ Biological sciences
  • General Economics
  • General Bioengineering

John Danowski has helped the Blue Devils bring home three national championships in the last six years. Duke has had a perfect Goal Scoring Record consistently with no score lower than 95%. Duke has also won 3 national Championships in the last 5 years. These are just some of the reasons why Duke is one of the best colleges for mens lacrosse

2. UNIVERSTIY OF NORTH CAROLINA

UNC is one of the oldest public universities in the United States. It is one of the the eight public ivy schools in the US. Public ivy schools offer a ivy league academic experience at a school price. The most popular majors at North Carolina are:

  • Economics
  • Communication
  • Psycology
  • Biology

3. UNIVERSTIY OF NOTRE DAME

The University of Notre Dame is considered to be one of the most beautiful universities in the nation. It sits on 1,250 acres, has gothic architecture and park like landscape. ND is ranked 15 in the 2017 Best colleges rankings. The most popular majors at ND are

  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Political science and government
  • Psychology

For 29 years the head coach of ND’s men’s lacrosse team has been Kevin Corrigan. He is the longest active tenured coach in Division 1 Men’s lacrosse. The fighting Irish has had 22 invitations to the NCAA Championship since 1990.

4. UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINA

University of Virginia was founded by Thomas Jefferson in 1819. UVA has been called “the proudest achievement of American Architecture”. It was ranked #2 in top public schools in the US. The most popular majors at UVA are:

  • Biology. Biological sciences
  • International relations and Affairs
  • Psychology

Lars Tiffany has been a coach at UVA since 2016. UVA has been part of over 37 NCAA tournaments. Tiffany came from a head coaching position at Brown University They are hoping that Tiffany will lead them to many more of these tournaments in the future

5. SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY 

Syracuse has a 683-acre campus in upstate New York. Syracuse features featuring multiple art galleries and the Special Collections Research Center that has rare books and manuscripts. The buildings are designed to be a mix of contemporary and Romanesque Revival buildings. Half of the students that go to SU are from outside of New York. The most popular major are:

  • General Psychology
  • Public Relations and Advertising
  • Finance and Financial Management
  • Information Science and Design and Applied Arts

Syracuse lacrosse is coached by John Desko. John Desko has won five national championships at Cuse . His .744 winning percentage has been the best of any active division 1 coach.
